Cities as Attractive Tourist Destinations
Summary:
Research into major urban centres as tourist destinations may be conducted from various perspectives. Analysis is essential since they bear a number of important characteristics which add to their appeal and influence choice as being possible tourist destinations. Related arguments are presented in the first part of the paper where the formulation of the research is also made. The second part of the paper defines the concept of ‘city tourism destination’ and the elements of its contents. These elements are crucial for designing conceptual and practical models to improve the power of city tourism destinations. Part three and part four of the research paper provide a brief description and apply a methodology based on the Global Power City Index in analysing the ranking of the world top ten city tourism destinations in 2014.

Realising the Concept of Sustainable Management
Summary:
The concept of sustainable business development applied as a management model can multiply positive achievements resulting from business operations. The main objective of this study is to trace the forms of implementation of sustainable management by business operation levels. In order to achieve this, the nature and importance of sustainable management is revealed. The idea of applying sustainable management features an interdisciplinary and multicultural signature that is associated with economic prosperity, a green lifestyle and the social responsibility of all stakeholders in the business, as well as a wide range of community groups. The paper provides a broad-spectrum analysis of the main forms of sustainable management realisation, namely its operation as a standard with a force equal to national law; as good practice, leading to increased competitiveness of entrepreneurs; as an international agreement made possible by the unity accomplished in the realisation of major projects.

Reforms to the Common Agricultural Policy and Benefits to Bulgaria
Summary:
The paper deals with issues related to the evolution of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP) and the process of reforms the policy has been undergoing. It also provides a retrospective analysis in order to outline both favourable and adverse aspects of the impact which CAP has had on the development of the agricultural sector in Europe in general and in Bulgaria in particular. It is thus possible to highlight the benefits which our country could gain from those reforms by taking into consideration changes in existing regulations and the implementation of related policy instruments. The paper also reviews what was achieved in our country in the 2007-2013 programme period in result of implementing the CAP. Finally, it outlines expectations related to Bulgarian agriculture for the next programme period in terms of the changes introduced into that policy by the European Commission.

State and problems of Bulgarian tourism products
on the European market
Summary:
The article analyses the state of tourism products and services related to destination Bulgaria. This objective is achieved by applying situation analysis which reveals the market positions occupied by Bulgarian tourism products in Europe. The object of research is the nature and characteristics of offering while the subject is connected to the “demand – supply” relation of tourism products for destination Bulgaria within the context of the various problems of tourism business in the country. The article also outlines the possibilities for success based on a critical analysis of results achieved for the period 2001 – 2011 by discussing issues such as the nature and structure of Bulgarian tourism product; the nature of offering of emitting markets important for destination Bulgaria; specific characteristics of offering with regard to tourist packages for organized trips to our country.
